Buyers Agent or Broker


Are you considering buying a boat?  Is your broker or salesman providing you with all the information you need to make a well informed decision?  Wouldn't it be prudent to have someone on your side working only for you?  Allow CC Yacht Brokerage to be that someone.


CC Yacht Brokerage now offers you two distinct methods by which we can help you with your next boat purchase.  1) We can work and act as your agent under traditional Broker methods whereby we will be paid a commission on the final purchase price of the boat.  Or 2) we can be your Buyers Agent on a flat fee basis.


The simple advantage of the traditional Broker is there is no upfront, out of pocket costs to you.  We work together to find the right boat for you.  Once we find the right boat and you close on the boat, I received a commission which is paid by the seller. 


As a Buyers Agent, you pay a flat fee up front.  We work together for as long as it takes to find the right boat.  Since there is no commission involved. I have no other motivation than to find the best boat for you at the lowest possible price.


We can structure my services whichever way works best for you.  I work only for you.  My only interest is in finding you the boat of your dreams and getting you the very best deal possible.  Period. 


I will save you Time, Money, and Mistakes:


  •  TIME -  What is your time worth?  I am sure you are well aware that looking for quality boats for sale takes time; lots of time. I know where to look and what to look for.  Anyone can flip through Yachtworld to find your boat. I search for your ideal boat by looking into a multitude of on-line and print based sites including brokerage, for-sale-by-owner and trade publications, in addition to my personal network throughout the industry. I will do all the leg work, phone calls and emails necessary to get the right boat in front of you.  I will provide my feedback on each boat presented and how it might fit with your intended goals. I then get your feedback on the boats presented to hone in and narrow the search to find exactly what you are looking for.  Once we identify the right boat for you, I will assist in making all the details come together. We start with an inspection.  If all checks out and meets with your expectations, I then help to present the "offer to purchase" making sure you are protected in the transaction. I will assist in negotiating the lowest price possible for you.  I'll then help identify and procure a top quality accredited marine surveyor and arrange for the boat to be hauled out of the water so the surveyor can inspect the bottom, schedule a sea trial for you and your surveyor to check out the boat underway, help you obtain marine financing and insurance. Finally, I will help you arrange for trucking or shipping if you elect to move the boat from its present location by carrier or a yacht delivery crew if you need help moving her by sea. The time I spend is the time you save.


  • MONEY - I will save you more than the cost of my fee by negotiating the best possible price for you.  Combine those savings with the money I can save you on financing, insurance, and time and you come out of the deal thousands of dollars ahead.  I realize you can find many brokerage boats yourself and contact the listing broker directly, but think about this: The listing broker's first obligation is to the seller, not to you.  I, on the other hand, act solely as your representative, as your Agent. Unlike the listing broker, we owe no allegiance to the seller. My only duty is to get you the best possible deal on the best boat we can find. So, who would you rather have negotiating for you on the price of your new boat, them or me?  I am confident I can save you a considerable amount of money in the process.


  • MISTAKES - When was the last time you bought a boat?  I do it all year long for my clients.  I know the market and I know the boats.  The biggest mistake I see are buyers who get too emotional about a particular boat and end up paying more than they should or are willing to overlook problems with the boat.  I'll make sure you get the right vessel at a great price for your needs because picking the wrong boat would be the biggest mistake of all.  When you're buying a yacht, mistakes can be very expensive. I'll help you avoid them. My job is to protect your interests every step of the way and getting you in the right boat at the right price.
